Personal Care Worker – Community Care

To help clients live independently in their own home through respite, personal care and career support consistent with care plans as directed by the Care Coordinator. To provide accurate and timely information about client needs and changes in client condition to the Care Coordinator.

Daily key functions:

  • Performs duties in a professional manner taking responsibility for clients’ care and personal hygiene consistent with all relevant regulations and Mercy Health policies, procedures and client care plans
  • Accountable for the standard of clients’ personal care during their rostered hours
  • Promotes a physical and social environment that encourages safety, security and optimal health for clients

Must haves:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Certificate III Home or Community Care, RN qualification, be a second year nursing student or have Certificate IV Disability
  • Current Victorian drivers licence, access to reliable vehicle and current car insurance
  • Current Police Check (no more than six months old)
